Because in the books, when Obi-Wan confronts Padme, and tells her to break off things with Anakin, she only lies to Obi-Wan. Telling him she would break if off with every intention of not breaking off and getting married instead.
I'm cool with doing AU, but I thought I'd just check first.

Date: 2013-09-10 03:19 am (UTC)I'm going to go with AU. I implied that she had the conversation with Obi-Wan and had every intention of breaking it however, what transpires with Anakin will change her mind. Not that she was going to go through with it in the first place. Sorry if I wasn't clear. :(
